We went to karaoke after 回転寿司(revolving sushi) on the first night I got to Kyoto, so that's two of my dreams come true in one night. I sang 「川の流れのように」 and Nora Jones' "Chasing Pirates" that used to be on the radio at work. Next to me is my RA and Life in Japan Assistant, Kasumi-chan. Then, Matt from Vancouver, Mariana my nice roommate, and a quiet guy from Thailand. Kyouhei-san is sitting next to him. Kyohei is from Kyoto and he says he'll teach me some Kansai-ben (the very cool dialect here).
